What will you learn?
There are many different types of wrecks, some of which are protected by laws that guard their historical and cultural significance. Your training starts by reviewing guidelines for researching and respecting wrecks. During four dives you’ll learn:
– Safety considerations for navigating and exploring wrecks.
– Surveying and mapping a wreck.
– Using penetration lines and reels to guide exploration.
– Techniques to avoid kicking up silt or disturbing the wreck and its inhabitants.
What equipment will I need?
All equipment is included in the price of your course where needed. However, at this stage in your diving, being an experienced diver is a time where you should start considering purchasing your own diving equipment. Pop into our dive centre for help & advise on choosing the right equipment for you and your style of diving.
It is a requirement that you have your own mask, snorkel and neoprene boots for health & safety reasons. You are required to have your own spool & line (no less than 30m) to participate in this course.
Please note course fees do not include entry into training sites or on boat dives if required. Parking fees at sites may also apply.
