PADI Rescue Diver eLearning

The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you techniques to avoid and manage problems and improve your confidence as a diver. During the course you’ll become a better buddy by enhancing your ability to identify potential problems and by practicing dive emergency protocol. The subject is serious but the training is fun – many divers tell us the PADI Rescue Diver course was their favourite!

You also need to have Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months and Emergency Oxygen Provider.

What will you learn?

The PADI Rescue Diver Course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, both minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Over the course of 3 pool sessions and one day in open water (plus your theory learning!) you will learn:
- Self Rescue
- Recognising and managing stress in other divers
- Emergency management and equipment
- Rescuing panicked divers
- Rescuing unresponsive divers

The course consists of 4 consecutive Friday evenings in the pool (The Dolphin Centre, Poole), following by a day in open water.

What equipment will I need?

At this stage in your diving you should already own your own diving equipment. Therefore, you are expected to have your own setup and we highly recommend this. However, if you require any kit for the course it is available to hire from us.
You are also required to have your own CPR pocket mask for the course.

*This course fee only covers your online training, assessments and certification card. Practical training fees, dives, dive equipment and logbook are available at additional fees via Coast2Coast Scuba (please contact us to book onto your practical training).
You will receive your eLearning code within 48 workings hours. Once your e-Learning is completed contact us to book onto your practical training. You will not be booked onto any practical sessions until the remaining balance of the course is paid.
Total course cost is £395

Age Requirement: 12 years or older
Time Commitment: Approximately 25 hours (Includes 3 pool sessions and a day at Open Water)
Course Prerequisites: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver & EFR Primary & Secondary Care within 24 months. We also highly recommend completing the Emergency Oxygen Provider course.

The open water day may be at either Vobster Quay in Frome or at a local shore site, weather dependent. You will need to make your own way to sites and entry fees may apply.
