Hi I’m Mattie, one of the newer members of the team here at Dorset Diving Services, and happy with the fun, professional friends I have made. I love teaching and the joy it brings people when they master a new found skill.

My first diving experience in 2001 on a BSAC Ocean diver course, wasn’t the greatest I have to admit. It was a little like being in a freezing washing machine, where I couldn’t see any further than my hand. However, this didn’t deter me and gained top student at the Defence Dive School as a military diver!

On leaving this career, I transferred my skills across to the PADI way, and travelled as an Instructor for 5 Years. I wouldn’t choose any other way to have transitioned, and enjoyed every moment of it. I’ve had the privilege of teaching and diving in some of the most beautiful places in the world; Dominican Republic, Tulum, Cozumel in Mexico, Florida, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Toa in Thailand, Tulumben and southern Islands of Bali, Malta and of course, various places in the UK.

I love challenging myself and learning new skills, I would like to progress in diving as much as I can, specifically in side mount and cave diving.

I look forward to meeting you in the water, or on a surface Interval.
