This course is built to build your knowledge and confidence in equipment. The course includes minor repairs, minor adjustments, different configurations, trim, streamlining and buoyancy.
You'll attend a workshop at the dive centre, followed by a confined water session.
COURSE CONTENT
- RAID online learning, quizzes & exams to be completed before practical sessions.
- A Confined Water session to be completed.
- We'll show you how to maintain your drysuit/wetsuit
- We'll talk you through what to include in your spares kit so you're ready to "save a dive"
- We'll demonstrate how we service your equipment
- You'll gain an understanding of how your equipment operates
- You'll be shown how to do minor & simple repairs that may prevent you from diving
- We'll go through your kit setup, make sure you're streamlined & in trim and work on your buoyancy skills
PREREQUISITES
- Must be certified as Open Water 20 Diver (or equivalent)
- Must be minimum of 15 years old.
- It is advisable to bring your own kit along to both session.
Kit hire is available if needed.

- Register/sign into your RAID account online at https://www.diveraid.com/
- Assign Dorset Diving Services as your local Dive Centre (Click your RAID Profile, Select 'View or change My Dive Centre')
- Have a browse through the courses and select the course(s) you'd like to do
- Download your FREE eLearning materials and start reading
- Let us know what course(s) you have selected and we can sit down & compare diaries to get you booked into your practical training!
- Payment for your practical training is required at the time of booking and all eLearning/Quizzes/Exams must be completed the day before your first practical session.
PLEASE NOTE:
To complete this course you need to attend both the dry session and the pool session.
