💚 Dorset Diving Services – Our Green Mission 🌿🌊

At Dorset Diving Services, we believe that protecting the oceans begins on shore. We’re committed to becoming an eco-friendly dive centre, reducing our environmental footprint while inspiring others to do the same.

We’ve already made the switch to energy-efficient lighting 💡 on a green tariff, added motion sensors 🚶 to reduce wasted electricity, and swapped to eco-friendly cleaning products in refillable bottles ♻️. We working towards our dive centre being a very limited Plastic-Free Zone 🚫🛍️ - although this is proving to be difficult with products arriving in plastic packaging and lots of other items only available in plastic, but we're getting there!

From here on, we’re going even further:

• 📄 Choosing eco-friendly stationery and materials

• ♻️ Encouraging recycling and reducing waste wherever possible

• 🚗🤝 Supporting car sharing between students and staff

• ❄️🎤 Hosting winter talks and workshops on environmental topics

• 🗑️🌍 Organising community litter picks and awareness events

• 🛍️🔄 Launching a range of DDS-branded reusable products to replace single-use alternatives

• AND MORE!

As divers, we see first-hand the beauty and fragility of our underwater world 🐠💙. By making small changes together, we can protect it for generations to come.
