APEKS MTX-RC STAGE3 (DIN)

The Apeks MTX-RC is a heavy-duty, extreme-cold-water regulator engineered from military-grade testing standards. It takes the freeze-resistant architecture of the original MTX-R and adds manual diver controls (Regulator, Controlled / Customisable).

Key Features & Architecture

1. First Stage

• Over-Balanced Diaphragm: As depth increases, the inter-stage pressure increases faster than ambient water pressure, delivering consistent, effortless airflow even at deep stops.

• Thermal Heat-Exchanging Ribs: The satin-plated brass body features deep, forged ribs that maximise heat transfer from surrounding ambient water into the expanding air.

• Dry Environmental Seal & Over-Moulded End Cap: Prevents ice formation inside the main spring cavity and shields the diaphragm from physical impact.

• Hose Routing:

  • 5 Medium-Pressure (MP) ports (4 mounted on a rotating turret for flexible hose routing on single tanks, twinsets, or sidemount rigs).

  • 2 High-Pressure (HP) ports angled out to clear transmitters and gauge hoses.

2. Second Stage

• Diver Controls (The "RC" Upgrade):

  • Cracking Effort Adjustment Knob: An oversized, tactile control allowing you to dial breathing resistance up or down, easily turned while wearing thick drysuit gloves.

  • Venturi Lever: An ergonomic switch to eliminate free-flows on the surface or scootering, flicked over to "Dive" for an effortless venturi assist.

• Internal Heat Exchanger: Surrounds the valve mechanism to dissipate the cooling effect caused by rapid gas expansion.

• Impact-Resistant Armour: Protective elastomer bumpers cover the top and sides against knocks and boat handling.

• Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE): Comes with interchangeable wide and compact exhaust tees—wide pushes bubbles away from your field of view; compact reduces profile.

• Reversible Hose Configuration: Can be swapped between left- and right-handed hose routing.
