SSI React Right — eLearning & Certification Credit Only

Be the diver (and friend) who knows what to do when it matters most. SSI React Right is your primary emergency care course, covering first aid, CPR, AED use, and oxygen administration. This product provides your academic training and certification credit only — complete the online theory at your own pace, then add the hands-on sessions separately.

What you’ll learn online

• Primary assessment, scene safety, and activating EMS
• Adult CPR and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• Serious bleeding, shock, and spine injury management
• Secondary care: wounds, fractures, burns, heat/cold issues
• Oxygen administration for diving-related incidents
• Building an emergency action plan and incident documentation

Required practical training (booked separately)

To complete your certification you must attend the in-person skills sessions with an SSI Professional. Typical sessions include:

• Hands-on CPR with manikins and AED practice
• Bandaging, splinting, and patient positioning
• Administering emergency oxygen using non-rebreather masks and demand valves
• Scenario-based drills and building an Emergency Action Plan

Practical training is not included with this eLearning product and must be booked separately with Dorset Diving or any other SSI Dive Centre.

Important

• Please confirm your chosen centre offers the SSI React Right programme (and the modules you need) before booking.
• React Right is required for SSI Diver Stress & Rescue and most professional pathways (e.g., Dive Guide/Divemaster).
• Some centres may ask for a brief medical questionnaire for practical sessions.
