The SSI Assistant Instructor (AI) rating is the first step on the SSI professional teaching pathway. As an AI, you'll be qualified to assist SSI Instructors in confined and open water training sessions, helping students develop their skills under supervision. This listing covers the eLearning component — the academic preparation completed online before your practical training with us.

- SSI Divemaster certification
- SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 40
- Minimum 60 logged dives to begin; 75 logged dives to certify
- Current CPR, First Aid & O2 Provider certification
- Medical clearance to dive
