SSI Deep Diving Course
The deeper you go, the more the ocean reveals. The SSI Deep Diving course extends your certified depth limit to 40 metres, teaching you the skills, planning, and awareness needed to dive safely at depth. From narcosis management to gas planning and emergency procedures, this course opens up a whole new world of dive sites — including many of the UK's most spectacular wrecks.
▸ Prerequisites
- Referral Diver (any entry-level scuba certification)
- Must be a certified Open Water Diver prior to final certification
▸ Minimum Age & Who It's For
- Minimum age: 15 years old
- Certified divers who want to extend their depth limit and access deeper dive sites
▸ Locations
- 🏫 Classroom/theory: Online via MySSI
- 🌊 Open water dives: Vobster Quay, Frome

- SSI digital learning materials via the SSI app
- 3 open water training dives with SSI Instructor

✗ What's Not Included
- Equipment hire — students are encouraged to use their own kit; hire available at extra cost
- Vobster Quay entry fee (£26 per day)
- Mask, snorkel and boots (must be purchased from Dorset Diving Services)
- Transport to/from venues
