The XDeep Open SMB is a vital piece of safety equipment for any diver looking for maximum surface visibility while on a dive. This surface marker buoy is open at one end and offers no gimmicks or tricks, simply ultimate reliability.

The Open SMB is 140cm in length for added visibility and its open end means it can be inflated by a regulator, exhaled bubbles, or by any of the other common means. There isn’t a need for a dump valve as air is able to expand out of the end of the tube. But always make sure to take care to keep tension on the buoy to keep it upright and avoid air coming out.

The strong orange colour is highly visible even from a distance and the nylon material used is the same as is present in life jackets and signalling devices, so you know you’re getting a durable buoy. There is also a strip of reflective SOLAS tape on the top of the SMB to provide visibility in fading light and there is a handy clear section on the side which is perfect for storing a note or chemical light stick.
