SSI Divemaster Course
The SSI Divemaster is the pinnacle of recreational diver training and the entry point to the SSI professional programme. As a Divemaster, you'll be qualified to lead certified divers, assist instructors, and work in the dive industry worldwide. This is where passion becomes profession.
▸ Prerequisites
- SSI Diver Stress & Rescue certification
- Minimum 60 logged open water dives
- Current CPR, First Aid & O2 Provider certification
- Medical clearance to dive
- Must also pass SSI Science of Diving final exam
▸ Minimum Age & Who It's For
- Minimum age: 18 years old
- Experienced divers ready to take their passion to a professional level and work in the dive industry

- 🏫 Classroom/theory: Dorset Diving Services, Poole
- 🏊 Pool sessions: BCP Dolphin Leisure Centre, Poole
- 🌊 Open water sessions: Vobster Quay, Frome

✗ What's Not Included
- Equipment hire — at Divemaster level, students are expected to have their own kit (hire available at extra cost)
- Vobster Quay entry fee (£26 per day)
- CPR/First Aid/O2 Provider certification (must be current and independently obtained)
- Transport to/from venues
